Green Asparagus is a perennial vegetable that's easily recognizable for its long, pointy spears often referred to as “tips”. This stalk veggie is low in calories and high in vitamins making it a favorite addition to any meal. You can simply drizzle it with olive oil, season it, roast it and leave it at that – or you can add to your favorite stir fry, blend it into a creamy soup or wrap it in prosciutto and grill it to perfection.

Nourish your digestion with Fresh Asparagus!
Fresh asparagus is packed with good-for-you vitamins and minerals like vitamins A, C, E, K and B6, as well as folate, calcium, protein and fiber.
Tips For Choosing Asparagus: Fresh asparagus stalks are firm, straight and smooth. They should be a rich green color with a small amount of white at the bottom of the spear. A dull green hue and wrinkles in the stems are an indication of old age. The asparagus tips should be tightly closed and compact--similar to an artist's paint brush--and not starting to spread out or sprout. Look for purple highlights, and make sure the tips are not soft and mushy.
